What is HP OpenView

When i start working at my place to work now, i was introduced to HP Openview, when i heard before work in my place right now, i thought HP Openview is a network monitoring software.

After a month i was introduced with someone which friend of my friend, he called dadan, He was project manager to implement HP OpenView software called “Service Desk” which it functions to record all IT problem and log it.

Another program of HP OpenView to which introduced was NNM short of Network Node Manager. I dont know what software it is, but when i opened its like a Whats UP Network Monitoring software but more complex. Sorry if my explanation of OpenView software is not right :(, cause its just of my thoughts, right now i still learning it.

I thought HP OpenView is just one software, but when i work in here and explained dadan i know that HP OpenView is a collection of software from Hewlett Packard Software division. CMIIW . And its not only NNM (Network Node Manager) and HP Service Center only. You can check it via Wiki.

The right explanation of HP OpenView by wiki was a Hewlett Packard product range consisting of an extensive portfolio of network and systems management products. HP OpenView was most commonly described as a suite of software applications which allow large-scale system and network management of an organization’s IT assets. It includes hundreds of optional modules from HP as well as thousands of third parties which connect within the well-defined framework and communicate with one another.

So if we want to learn HP OpenView we can check Hewlett Packard sites or via wiki to check it out the history, whats the meaning of each software n’ what’s each function. In wiki there is a lot of software from HP which has no explanation, may be you can add it :).
