Scheduled Post with Wordpress
August 5, 2008 – 9:49 am | by tintin 1,030 views2 days a go i want to post my article, but something happen, when i want to post the article but i want to set the date go to past days than i wrote the article. Then i click “Publish”. But then i try to refresh the page, the article is not show up .. 
I try to check again, at “manage post” menu, and there is a “scheduled post 1 article” . Why ..??
Then i check again why my last post being scheduled post, i never seen that before. So i check date on publish, unfortunately i set date for publish for 31 August :D. It’s being scheduled post. Oh .. i’m so old school , from the first time using wordpress i don’t know that it can do scheduling post. 
Then i thinking what purpose if we do some scheduling post.
- If we have a lot of article has written, we can arrange it to publish at date as we like. We don’t need to click login or saved it at draft folder then click publish anymore. It automatically show up at date and time you set it.
- If we have on vacation and we cannot login to our blog, It will help us to automatically update our blog with our article.
- If we are have a “hiatus” problem (it means doesnt have an idea to write an article) it, will helping too
So i think that is the purpose that i get it from my self, if somebody have another purpose you can add it with commenting this article 
How To Make Scheduled Post
Even a lot of blogger have been knowing how to make scheduling post, i just to share it again, it will remind me too ..
- Write your article ( a lot of idea in your mind just write it) then arrange it.
- At every article you’ve been writing look at the right hand column and find the ‘Publish Status’ box.
- Click ‘Edit’ text link next to Publish Immediately to reveal the timestamp options
- Enter the date and time that you want the post to actually appear on your blog
- After this, go back to the post and click ‘Publish’.
Your post will then be held until the date and time you choose
So keep writing and happy blogging ..

I have managed at times to get a few posts ahead doing this. It’s nice to know that posts are ready to go for those times that you just can’t get one written. The problem is, I tend to use this as an excuse to be lazy, don’t write more posts, and end up with post deadlines again.
