How To Choose Blog Themes or Template

It takes so long when i decided use this themes, has been 2 weeks, that i try to choose what is best themes for this blog. From 2 weeks i have something that i want to share about every factor when you choose blog themes or templates even you are using free blog provider like wordpress, blogger, blogsome, typepad, etc.

When someone set their blog at first time, generally they are gonna try to choose what templates is fixed with blog purpose. If their blog is health informations blog they are try choose themes or template which match the criteria.

Blog themes also the main factor for visitors, that try attract them to visiting our blog regularly, so what most important we want to know about blog themes.

There is many main factor that i want to share about choosing blog themes :

1. Columns or sidebar, blog usually have a columns, generally there is 1 column, 2 columns, 3 columns, and 4 columns. 1 column is post page with sidebar page at 1 column, 2,3 or 4 columns separate post page with sidebar page. Sidebar page can placed at left, right, left & right, up or bottom. Choose what columns that fixed for your blog. My suggest if you want to put a lot of accessories like banner, shoutbox, more widgets, try to choose more 3 columns themes or 4 columns themes
2. Colors, what main blog colors which is interesting for you, it can be Red, Orange, Violet, Yellow, Blue, Green, Pink, etc.
3. Sidebar Location, Sidebar location can be placed at left, right, left & right, up or bottom. Sometimes blog with 1 or 2 columns they still have a sidebar which located at bottom before footer. And it can separated to 2 or 3 columns depend on themes designer interest.
4. Tab Type, right now a lot of blog use tabbed for their sidebar. It can save a lot of space for sidebar. Usually they made it form JScripts or Ajax.
5. Themes type, right now a lot of themes that offer for us, even for blogger type or wordpress type. It can be free themes, or premium themes. There is also premium themes that launch for free. So choose it what best for your interest. For type of themes, there is a grid based themes, general based themes or magazine type themes.
6. Widgetized or not, if you are using wordpress themes there is a themes that not support widget, but you can add it manually refer to clue from wordpress site. If you are using blogger templates you need to choose for older blog templates and new type blog templates using XML.
7. Speed of loading, this factor is main factor for blog. Cause when somebody entering or opening your blog sometimes they don’t want for wait loading of your blog. So choose wisely which blog themes that can improve your blog speed.
8. Image Header, blog usually have a header, but some of blog themes not use image header. Image header is good for your blog, it can make your blog nicely and looking good, but if you put big image for your header it can slow your blog speed.
