Ares Rocket Test Scrubbed For Today
October 27, 2009
After numerous delays, NASA has decided to scrub its planned test launch of its next-generation rocket which called Ares rockets with specific name Ares 1-X rocket. The Ares 1-X rocket was supposed to lift off this morning from its launchpad at Cape Canaveral, Florida.
However, it was hit with several setbacks, including lousy weather, ground crew delays and even wayward cargo ships in its launch zone.
The rocket was to fly for about two minutes and then float back down to the Atlantic Ocean on parachutes for recovery.
NASA will make another attempt to launch the rocket tomorrow.
