Black Friday Ads 2009: 1 Black Friday Ad Leaked, Discounts Expected to Disappoint

Black Friday ads 2009 typically wouldn’t be released for a few more weeks. Black Friday ads 2009 tell discounts given on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. One Black Friday ad for 2009 has already been leaked. The Office Max Black Friday ad was the ad that was leaked.

Black Friday ads 2009 for Office Max include a stellar deal on an Acer 10 inch netbook with Windows XP. You can get this netbook for half it’s $300 regular price tag, that is – $149. A 10 mega pixel Olympus camera will also be on sale on Black Friday at Office Max for $49. The same camera is currently on sale for $99. The regular retail price is $149.

With the economy in bad shape, you would expect that the Black Friday ads 2009 would feature tons of great deals, but that may not be the case.According to Reuters, an Accenture study finds that nearly a quarter of individuals won’t open their wallets this holiday season without a discount of at least 50%. 86% of people expect a discount of at least 20%.

Furthermore, there is a 10% increase from last year in the number of people who plan to shop on Black Friday. More people and less ads are likely to result in increased frustration. Retailers are expected to be hesitant to give steep discounts in the face of increasing commodity prices and lower consumer spending throughout the year.

You can almost bet that Wal-Mart will meet or beat the deals that are in the leaked Office Max Black Friday ads 2009. I recently purchased (and returned) an Acer 12 inch netbook at Wal-Mart, as I found that the computer in general did not meet my expectations. I returned it for an HP netbook, and am very happy with my decision. I purchased my HP netbook at Office Depot.

Families that have experienced a decrease in income likely to spend less money during the 2009 holiday season. Despite losing over 2 million jobs in 2009, 62% of Americans plan to spend over $250 on holiday gifts.

Will I shop Black Friday 2009 sales? Probably not. I live in a major city, and herds and massive crowds are not unheard of. I will do my Black Friday 2009 shopping primarily online.
