Droid Phones
October 28, 2009Droid Phones Countdown
Google’s Android 2.0 platform would surely be a pain in a** for Microsoft! People are talking less about the phones and more about the software. The O.S has become a hit even before it has come out. Even the name Droid is directly derived from the name of the software Android. Exactly how many phones employing Android 2.0 are being churned out is any body’s. The common figure circulating in tech circles is three for the time being.
First and foremost on the list is Motorola Droid which Verizon would be releasing on the night of 31st October. Motorola Droid ad has directly hit the iPhone and has compared the features of both phones. The ad points towards all the features that an iPhone doesn’t have like 5 Mega Pixel camera. Night shooting mode. Open code software and above all multitasking. All the features that Motorola’s Droid comes equipped with. The second in the line is perhaps a Taiwanese company HTC with its newest model. HTC’s new cell phone is not expected to feature a QWERT keyboard. The full features and the name has not been revealed, however it has been dubbed as HTC desire.
Motorola is also working on another phone that would use Android 2.0 O.S. The phone would have BLUR ability. BLUR makes it easier to keep in touch with your FaceBook friends and contacts on other social networking utilities. Android 2.0 also comes with the feature that shows FaceBook contacts along with the other contacts. It also makes it easier to integrate incoming e-mails from your different inboxes.
