Are Post Offices open at veterans day ?
November 11, 2009Is there Mail on Veterans Day?
Are Post Offices open today? Is there Mail on Veterans Day? Veterans Day is a federal holiday. There are only three remaining federal holidays including today. Can you name them?
For 2009, the last three federal holidays are Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day (November 2), and Christmas Day (December 25). On any federal holiday, post offices are closed, nomail is serviced.
So while there is no mail on Veterans Day, malls, mass transit, and grocery stores are all open. And banks? Some banks are open, some are closed, it just depends. So the good news – you can’t get anymore bills in themail today. The bad news is – banks are open, you can still pay your bills.taken from : http://news.lalate.com/2009/11/11/is-there-mail-on-veterans-day/
