One of the ten Modern Warfare 2 stories I posted yesterday touched on some of the difficulties being experienced by PS3 owners. Trophies weren’t being correctly awarded by the game, friends couldn’t be invited to parties, and multiplayer was proving unstable for some.
Well, no longer (hopefully). Infinity Ward has announced that a patch is now available, and new servers are being hoisted into place. Hurrah. According to the Twitter feed of IW creative strategist Robert Bowling:
“PS3 Status: Patch successful. Trophy Unlocks on PS3 now available in Single Player & Spec Ops. Adding more servers to meet MP demand.”
Bravo to Infinity Ward for such a rapid response, though there are still isolated murmurs of discontent over other minor bugs. PS3 owners, how’s your copy of the game holding up?
