Oprah Winfrey, Lisa Ling, Jenna Jameson, women and erotica

Oprah is doing a report on women, erotica and pornography, featuring Jenna Jameson. When I saw the promo and Lisa Ling asked, “Why are women buying erotica and porn,” the first thought in my head was they’re into it! It seemed like a silly question. Women are coming out of the closet to say that they enjoy sex. Shocking!
Kari Kriser owner of the G-Boutique in Chicago was a guest. The store is similar to Babeland, which we went on a Planet Abiola Show video tour. Violet Blue also appeared to discuss her article in O Magazine.
Jenna Jameson was also a guest. Her autobiography is named How To Make Love Like A Porn Star. A stoic Oprah listened as Jenna explained that “inside every woman in a little Jenna Jameson.” Oprah asked, “If you are not a professional at oral sex who is?” Jameson called all of the breast jobs, tans and waxing a “monsterization” of your body. They discussed Jenna’s film The Masseuse, and the difference between porn and erotica.

The show revealed that about 40% of pornography bought was by women to be watch by women and couples. One third of online porn viewers are women. Good for Oprah for doing this sure to be controversial show!
