F Train Accident Leaves At Least One Dead – Update
November 20, 2009
While full details have yet to come in, an accident involving a Manhattan-bound F train left one dead and one injured this morning.
Gothamist initially reported the incident, receiving a tip that someone was struck by a train at 7th Avenue.
The F line is widely regarded as the city’s most troubled subway line. Just last month the MTA released a report detailing its frequent delays, diversions, and overcrowded cars.
Gothamist is now reporting that the second victim was the train’s operator who was taken to the hospital for “trauma.”
