While full details have yet to come in, an accident involving a Manhattan-bound F train left one dead and one injured this morning.
Gothamist initially reported the incident, receiving a tip that someone was struck by a train at 7th Avenue.
The F line is widely regarded as the city’s most troubled subway line. Just last month the MTA released a report detailing its frequent delays, diversions, and overcrowded cars.

The Walmart Black Friday flyer contains a lot of deals. Black Friday shoppers won’t be disappointed by Walmart this year. While other Black Friday flyers are giving deals that are dismal when compared to years past, Walmart is trying their best to give consumers the best deals for the holiday season. The Walmart Black Friday flyer also includes a variety of markdowns on apparel and toys. Children’s sleepwear is only $3, and there are several items of apparel for $7 or less.
Some of the best deals in the flyer include a 50″ Sanyo 720p HDTV for $598. A similar model from Samsung is $698. While this a 720p doesn’t offer the highest resolution (that’s a 1080p), it’s still a pretty clear picture. Add a $78 Blu-Ray and some cheap DVDs and the man in your life will be happy this year. How getting a turkey from freezer to table
BUYING
Allow 1 to 1 ½ pounds per person for a whole turkey, 3/4 pound for a whole breast, ½ pound for boneless meat. For a crowd, buy two small birds (12 to 15 pounds) rather than one big one; turkeys over 20 pounds cook unevenly.
THAWING
• Defrost a frozen turkey in its original wrapping in the refrigerator, allowing 24 hours for each 5 pounds (three days, for example, for a 15-pound turkey). Thawed, raw turkey will keep in the refrigerator for up to three days.
• Speed thaw: The only faster safe method is to put the still-wrapped turkey in a sink or big basin and cover it with cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes, and allow 30 minutes per pound — 6 hours, for example, for a 12-pound turkey.

Habush, Habush & Rottier Sues Cannon & Dunphy for Hijacking Name in Online Searches
Habush, Habush & Rottier has sued competitor Cannon & Dunphy for paying Google and other search engines to direct people who search for Habush to the Cannon website, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The suit claims Cannon violated Habush’s privacy rights under Wisconsin state law.
Wisconsin’s largest personal injury law firm has taken a different legal tack in an effort to get a competitor to stop hijacking its name in Google searches.
Past suits over purloined search terms have named Google as the defendant, and usually claim violation of trademark rather than privacy laws, according to the story. (more…)
