Walmart Black Friday Flyer 2009

Friday, November 20th, 2009

The Walmart Black Friday flyer contains a lot of deals. Black Friday shoppers won’t be disappointed by Walmart this year. While other Black Friday flyers are giving deals that are dismal when compared to years past, Walmart is trying their best to give consumers the best deals for the holiday season. The Walmart Black Friday flyer also includes a variety of markdowns on apparel and toys. Children’s sleepwear is only $3, and there are several items of apparel for $7 or less.

Some of the best deals in the flyer include a 50″ Sanyo 720p HDTV for $598. A similar model from Samsung is $698. While this a 720p doesn’t offer the highest resolution (that’s a 1080p), it’s still a pretty clear picture. Add a $78 Blu-Ray and some cheap DVDs and the man in your life will be happy this year. getting a turkey from freezer to table

How getting a turkey from freezer to table

BUYING

Allow 1 to 1 ½ pounds per person for a whole turkey, 3/4 pound for a whole breast, ½ pound for boneless meat. For a crowd, buy two small birds (12 to 15 pounds) rather than one big one; turkeys over 20 pounds cook unevenly.

THAWING

Defrost a frozen turkey in its original wrapping in the refrigerator, allowing 24 hours for each 5 pounds (three days, for example, for a 15-pound turkey). Thawed, raw turkey will keep in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Speed thaw: The only faster safe method is to put the still-wrapped turkey in a sink or big basin and cover it with cold water. Change the water every 30 minutes, and allow 30 minutes per pound — 6 hours, for example, for a 12-pound turkey.

Habush, Habush & Rottier claims cyber hijacking by rival

Friday, November 20th, 2009

http://media.jsonline.com/images/199*240/mjs-helencol12p6(2).jpgWisconsin’s largest personal injury law firm pioneered lawyer advertising in the state back in the early 1980s, but it appears it may have been asleep at the keyboard when its biggest competitor turned to Google, Yahoo and Bing. Habush, Habush & Rottier, one of the state’s oldest and largest law firms specializing in personal injury cases, has had many publicized successes and advertises a lot.

Someone looking for a personal injury lawyer in the Milwaukee area might easily type the names Habush and Rottier into an Internet search engine.

But the first result most major search engines return is for a Habush competitor – Cannon & Dunphy.

On Wednesday, Robert Habush, Daniel Rottier and their law firm sued William Cannon, Patrick Dunphy and their Brookfield law firm, asking that a court halt the defendants’ use of paid-for keywords Habush and Rottier to direct searchers to the Cannon & Dunphy Web site. (more…)

Leggo your Eggo or Hold your Eggo : There’s a waffle shortage

Better hoard your Eggos! Grocery stores will be experiencing a shortage of the waffles until mid-2010 due to problems at two bakeries, a Kellogg’s spokeswoman said on Wednesday. “We are working around the clock to restore Eggo store inventories to normal levels as quickly as possible,” Charles said in an e-mail.

Flooding at an Atlanta bakery during heavy rains in October forced Kellogg (K, Fortune 500), which makes Eggo products, to shut down production temporarily, said company spokesman Kris Charles. Plus, equipment at Kellogg’s largest waffle facility, based in Rossville, Tenn., needs extensive repairs.

Remaining inventory will be rationed to stores across the country “based on historical percentage of business.” (more…)
