Rawlings Gold Glove Award 2009 winners
ST. LOUIS (Nov. 11, 2009) – Rawlings Sporting Goods has announced the 2009 Rawlings Gold Glove Award Winners for the National League.

Sorry, but the NYC.gov/Parade Yankees Parade Ticket period has ended. NYC.gov/Parade announcing the tickets to the Yankees City Hall Plaza Ceremony has ended.
As of 4:30 PM EST, the website reads:
The NY Yankees City Hall Plaza Ceremony ticket giveaway entry submission period has ended. Thank you for your interest.
There have been reports in the past of fraudulent offers for tickets to the parade – including access to floats – and to the ceremony. There are no tickets or passes to any portion of the parade, and any such offers are fake. Ceremony tickets are not for resale. The Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series is scheduled to start on October 28, 2009, which is the latest start in World Series history. For the first time ever, the MLB World Series is regularly scheduled to end in November. Assuming no weather delays, Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday, November 1 and, if necessary, Game 7 will take place on November 5. Home field advantage for the Series will go to the American League for the eighth straight year as a result of their 4–3 win in the All-Star Game. (more…)

World Series weather should be OK for Phillies and Yankees in New York
Rain hit the Big Apple this afternoon, but the hour-by-hour forecast indicates showers should taper off between 7 and 8 o’clock tonight. Game time is listed as 7:57 p.m. World Series weather should be OK for Phillies and Yankees in New York. It may be dreary outside right now, but weather forecasts indicate the World Series Game 1 between the Phillies and the Yankees should get under way tonight in New York.
If forecasts are correct, there will be some fog in the area through the game and temperatures will be in the low 50s. (more…)

Here are the first available figures on tickets for the three World Series games scheduled for Citizens Bank Park. Game 3 will take place on Halloween night, Game 4 on Sunday, Nov. 1, and Game 5 on Monday, Nov. 2.
They will play either the New York Yankees or California Angels, with the first two games of the World Series to take place in one of those American League parks. The Yankees lead the Amerian League Championship Series, 3 games to 1. Game 5 is tonight. (more…)
