Kicking off the festivities will be a “Welcome Flotilla” organized by the Winterfest Boat Parade committee, with watercraft of all sizes meeting up and escorting the ship to its new home at Port Everglades. One of Disney’s best-kept secrets is the new online Disney dining reservations system, which allows guests to make reservations at Disney World’s theme park, resort hotel, and Downtown Disney restaurants as early as 180 days in advance.
Planning ahead is key to enjoying a hassle-free Disney vacation, and Disney’s online Advance Dining Reservations system makes the booking process easier than ever. Guests can view all of Disney World’s table service restaurants (including Disney’s Princess and character dining locations) online and make reservations with the click of a mouse.
Moreover, Disney’s online dining reservations system allows guests to book a restaurant starting at 6 a.m., several hours before Disney’s telephone reservations system opens for the day. For guests attempting to make reservations at Disney’s most popular restaurants, this little known window of opportunity can make the difference between nabbing or losing their restaurant of choice.

The coconut crab, Birgus latro, is the largest land-living arthropod in the world, and is probably at the upper limit of how big terrestrial animals with exoskeletons can become in today’s atmosphere. The species inhabits the coastal forest regions of many Indo-Pacific islands, although localized extinction has occurred where the crab is sympatric with man. Generally nocturnal, they remain hidden during the day and emerge only on some nights to forage. Their body is divided into four regions; the cephalic lobe, forepart, trunk, and opisthosoma. It is a highly apomorphic hermit crab and is known for its ability to crack coconuts with its strong pincers to eat the contents. It is the only species of the genus Birgus. (more…)
