DVD Talk was forced by Walmart to take the ad scan down. Thankfully Walmart have now released their full ad, which shows 300 products up for sale.

Before we take a look at a few of the top deals that we think will prove popular, we know that Blu-ray players, TV’s and Digital Camera’s will feature heavily. However, we must not forget that there are also deals on other electronics, clothing and accessories, toys and much more. (more…)

Black Friday 2009 Deals Flood the Internet

With this year’s Black Friday Deals popping up from Walmart to Best Buy, the focus has been on early deals rather than the big lineup for the 5 A.M. store openings.  Tragic events from last year have changed major retailers procedures this year.

The death of a temporary worker at Walmart has fueled the latest trend of pre or early Black Friday deals.  Many retailers liek K-Mart and Best Buy have started with special deals on days before the famed shopping day.

Walmart has changed the store hours for the day to 24 hours to avoid the massive stampedes to the items featured in their big sale. (more…)

Black Friday Deals 2009: “Christmas Creep” Leads To Earlier Deals

Sears took “Christmas creep” one step further Wednesday, pitching its weekly sales as “Black Friday doorbuster” deals before Halloween.

The merchant, owned by struggling parent company Sears Holdings Corp., said it would kick off the weekly specials Friday evening and open stores at least two hours early every Saturday through Thanksgiving, hoping to draw shoppers with the promise of markdowns before the day after Thanksgiving.

The traditional shopping spree — dubbed Black Friday because it often was the day when a surge of shoppers helped stores break into profitability for the full year — has marked the kickoff of holiday shopping for many shoppers. But its importance has faded in recent years as merchants started hawking the deep sales and expanded hours usually reserved for that day well in advance. (more…)
