Season’s first major snowfall hits Front Range
Wednesday, October 28th, 2009Snow Weather Storm cause closed some of District Schools and College
Communities along Colorado’s Front Range and eastern plains braced for heavy, wet snowfall as a Winter Storm swept through the state. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 6:00 p.m. Thursday. The effects cause closure some schools district and college like poudre school district, front range community college, thompson school district, adams 12 five star school district, littleton public schools, douglas county school district, boulder valley school district, jeffco schools, red rocks community college, cherry creek school district, valparaiso community schools, etc . Conditions are expected to deteriorate Wednesday morning.

Heavier snow had already fallen in the mountains and parts of northern Colorado. Some schools closed Wednesday including Jefferson County schools, Douglas County schools, and Boulder Valley Mountain schools.. A number of roads in the mountains had chain restrictions or closed temporarily due to accidents, jack-knifed trucks, and icy conditions.
