Bagasse Kitchenware Products
Thursday, November 19th, 2009Bagasse is a fancy name for products made from a renewable resource, like sugarcane. For decades, sugarcane has been used to make sugar but the residual fibers were then discarded. As technology improved and the concept of recycling became widespread, scientists developed durable products from the fibers of sugar cane. It is actually the pulp of sugar cane which is turned into Bagasse products.
Over the years, many different household products have been developed from sugarcane pulp. This includes compostable plates, biodegradable bowls saucers, and even eco friendly containers and bins. (more…)
