NEW YORK (AP) — New York’s City Hall is giving away 500 tickets to the ceremony honoring the Yankees for winning the 2009 World Series.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg will present keys to the city to the Yankees at the ceremony, which begins Friday at 1 p.m. after the ticker-tape parade.
Fans 18 years and older can enter the giveaway from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at www.nyc.gov/parade or access the entry form through the mayor’s office Twitter page at www.twitter.com/NYCMayorsOffice.

Sorry, but the NYC.gov/Parade Yankees Parade Ticket period has ended. NYC.gov/Parade announcing the tickets to the Yankees City Hall Plaza Ceremony has ended.
As of 4:30 PM EST, the website reads:
The NY Yankees City Hall Plaza Ceremony ticket giveaway entry submission period has ended. Thank you for your interest.
There have been reports in the past of fraudulent offers for tickets to the parade – including access to floats – and to the ceremony. There are no tickets or passes to any portion of the parade, and any such offers are fake. Ceremony tickets are not for resale.
