A wicked line of weather, possibly containing two tornadoes, ripped across parts of Shreveport and Bossier Parish this afternoon in a one-two punch three hours apart. A neighborhood between Bossier City and Haughton suffered extensive damage as trees fell on houses and roofs were damaged by high winds. A pine tree fell and cut a brick house in half, briefly pinning a 94-year-old woman under debris. She was taken to the hospital for observation, her grandson said. Two dozen homes in the Mimos Gardens neighborhood were damaged. (more…)
